AOWCGWA
SPOUSE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
2007-2008 Check back later for the 2009 forms
The ARMY OFFICERS’ WIVES’ CLUB of the Greater Washington Area will award academic scholarships, up to a maximum of $2,000 each, to spouses of active-duty, retired, or deceased U.S. ARMY personnel. The applicant will be enrolled in a full or part-time accredited certificate or degree program for the 2008-2009 academic school year. The award will be made on the basis of scholastic merit and community involvement. The applicant and sponsor must reside in the Greater Washington Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area. THE AOWCGWA SCHOLARSHIP WILL BE AWARDED TO THE SAME INDIVIDUAL ONLY ONCE IN EACH CATEGORY.
Those students accepting any other full scholarship may not accept the AOWCGWA award. Also, an applicant who receives an AOWCGWA scholarship and later becomes eligible for and accepts a scholarship in the aforementioned category must forego the AOWCGWA award. And I understand that I may not defer this award to a future academic year, but I may reapply in the future for a new scholarship. In either case, the award will then be granted to the leading alternate.
